David Lloyd Clubs is a leading premium health, fitness, and leisure brand. With an established presence on social media, their TikTok account had steady engagement but hadn’t yet produced a viral-level hit that resonated widely with their target audience.

Despite regular posting, none of the brand’s content had managed to break through in terms of views, shares, or overall engagement. Videos typically generated between 2K- 15K views, which meant they were reaching a limited audience compared to their potential.


I filmed and edited 1 engaging video tailored to the TikTok platform- something that would not just showcase their facilities, but also capture the lifestyle and community experience that David Lloyd offers.

I created this video for their 'Summer at the Club Brief'


Applied these key strategies:


  • Audience-first editing: I designed the video for short attention spans, using fast, satisfying cuts to the beat of the music.

  • Catchy captioning: I added a bold, lifestyle-driven hook (“Padel, pool and pizza kinda day”), which framed the video as aspirational and instantly relatable.

  • Storytelling approach: Rather than just showing facilities, I told the story of a full day out at the club, highlighting padel, social time, and relaxation.

  • Aesthetic focus: I paid close attention to lighting, framing, and visual flow to give the video a polished, desirable look that matched the aspirational brand identity.

The video became the most successful post on David Lloyd Clubs’ TikTok account, achieving more than 145,000 views- far surpassing their usual 2K-15K range. Engagement was significantly higher than average, and comments showed strong audience interest and excitement about the activities featured.

  • It became the only video to reach true viral traction
